The daily initiative and act of solidarity with migrant farm workers continues, carried out by the Union of Workers in the Production, Cultivation, Standardization, and Packaging of Food and Beverages of Western Achaia – Andravida – Kyllini, with the support of various trade unions and other grassroots organizations.
Every day, food, drinking water, and clothing are collected at the union’s offices in Nea Manolada, as was the case on Friday afternoon, when the Union of Workers at the Patras Water and Sewerage Company (DEYA) also visited the village, contributing in turn to the effort of solidarity.
As emphasized by the delegation of trade unionists from the DEYA union, who were present led by their president, Kostas Bailos, the effort will continue, further supporting the local union’s initiative.
Moreover, on Friday afternoon, there was a large turnout of migrant workers at the local union’s offices, with new member registrations also taking place.
